Warm, humid nights (>26°C). Nocturnal flight attracted to light.
In captivity in Europe the nuptial flight is unusual. Requires sustained tropical temperature and humidity for it to occur.
Needs branches or cork to build the silk nest. Without building material it does not thrive.
